I Got Rhythm

Wake up early enough to be able to pound the treadmill some.

Shave, shower, slip on the crisp white shirt.
Flick on the thin dark tie. Don the good suit :
The not-Savile Row suit but the suit -enough suit
Step into those shoes,  black and polished like everyday
Light today like seldom before.

Walk out feeling important.
Tame the 45 degree heat.
Give it nothing. Not even
A thought.

Get in the car feeling like Don Draper with a million dollars in spare change.
Who remembers that small change is all you've got. And who cares !
Get out the facts. Get in the car.
Get in feeling like Carlos Slim fat with
The fortune of being alive -and feeling it !

Turn on the engine, switch on the AC, swing on the cool.
                                  Belt up.
Bring on the necessaries , i.e.  the accessories:
Phone ? Check. Audio ? Check.
Curl in. Uncoil
The Aux cable.
Make the connection.

Turn on this track.

Cruise into the new day.

It's yours. It's Breezin', baby !
